Today was the day of the concert. We had 2 full dress rehearsals during the day. When we were not in rehearsal we finished working on decorating our door! The students worked so hard, it turned out so beautiful! During our language period we wrote a journal about what we are going to be doing over the holidays. Once that was complete, the students had some fun Christmas language worksheets to work on.
We had our concert in the evening and the performance was amazing! I am so proud of the Grade 3s! Thank you for all your support and kind words after the performance.
Here is what we did on Thursday:
This morning we had a long assembly! We watched officers get pied in the face, played a trivia house game, did our communicator award and judged the ugly sweater contest! Congratulations to our communication award winner!
It was a fun day full of colouring, crosswords, watching movies and reading! Our class was excited to hear that we placed second in the door decorating contest!!! We will be doing a party in January to celebrate all their hard work in December because they earned 100 Party Points!
I have sent home 2 reading comprehension assignments (on Raz Kids- with their blue duo-tangs) and a small math review package to complete over the break for practice.
I wish everyone a very fun, safe and relaxing holidays. I can't wait to see what the new year has in store for my class. From the bottom of my heart I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
