Here is what we did today:
Music: Ms. McMillian was absent so we had music with Ms. Autio today.
UOI: We started our first lesson on our next UOI, FORCES!! We brainstormed our wonder questions for this unit. We identified what was the definition of a force and what is a movement. We looked at a picture of four seasons and identified the push and pull forces.
Recess/Lunch
Inquiry into Math: We started our new unit today, Fractions and Decimals. Our first lesson was about Fractions of a Whole! We learned that a fraction
describes equal parts of a whole. The top number is called "The
Numerator" which tells how many equal parts are counted. The bottom
number is called "The Denominator" which tells you how many equal parts
in total make up the whole. We did quite a few examples together as a
class. We described and identified fractions. We learned that one-fifth
is another way of saying 1 over 5.

Recess/Lunch
Inquiry into Language: We practiced our speeches and I checked in with multiple students. We will continue this tomorrow.
