Inquiry into Language: We did our Lesson 18 Spelling Test. When that was complete, we worked our summative presentations.

Recess/Lunch  

  

UOI: We continued working on our presentations. I was able to listen to each of them perform their story and give them tips/things to work on for tomorrow.

Inquiry into Math: Today we explored units of time! The students had to place themselves in order of least to greatest unit of time without talking. They had to work together to make sure they were correct!! So proud of their great team work. As a class, we figured out what those units of time words meant and how to compare them. We did some questions together and then the students independently did some textbook work.

Inquiry into Math: We completed our pre-assessment for our Measurement Unit.

UOI: We started the lesson with a brainstorm on what makes a good presentation. On the board, we wrote out some of the key features for the upcoming presentations that we should focus on. They continued working on their final drafts and for those who completed their final draft they began to practice their stories.

Reading buddies- We visited our friends in Ms. King's class.

 

UOI: They continued working on their final drafts. Great job, Grade 3s!

Recess/Lunch - We earned popsicles for being tied for 1st place!

 

Inquiry into Math: We completed our decimal quiz.

Inquiry into Language: We did our Lesson 17 Spelling Test. When that was complete, we worked on our DRA reading surveys.

Recess/Lunch

UOI: They continued working on their rough drafts. We were able to complete our rough drafts so most of us also completed our peer edits! We are following the deadlines we set for our summatives.

 

Inquiry into Math: We went over the review package and went over some of the tricky concepts together.

If you’d like to order for Thursday January 31st, please fill this order form out and send it back to Ms. Yustin at ayustin@stjudesacademy.com before 3:00 pm on Monday January 28th. 

 

We will fresh books invoice you for the total.
