Spelling: Today we worked on Lesson 28 in our spelling workbooks. 

Recess/Lunch

Art:We completed our bubble letter art! You have to wait until Art's Night to see it!

Math:Today we learned about reflections! We loved this lesson and had so much fun. We learned that for a reflection there must be a mirror line, both shapes must be identical and have the same amount of space/distance from the mirror line in order to be considered a reflection. We did a worksheet to practice, a textbook question and a fun drawing activity with miras to practice!











Recess/Lunch

UOI: We continued to work on our summatives.

The Battle for Juliet

On Thursday, May 10th, we would like to invite to our SJA parents and guardians to attend our upper school theatre performance of Romeo and Juliet being hosted at the University of Toronto Mississauga MiST Theatre (3359 Mississauga Rd, Mississauga, ON L5L 1C6) for FREE! The performance will begin at 6:30pm.

For your enjoyment, SJA PYP teachers will be hosting a FREE SJA dance in the SJA auditorium for your children, so you can sit back and relax. The dance drop off will begin at 6:00pm.

To reserve your tickets for the dance and the theatre performance, please e-mail Kaitlin at reception@stjudesacademy.com. Limited tickets are available and are available on a first-come first-served basis.

Spelling Test: Today we completed our Spelling Lesson 27 test.

Recess/Lunch

Math: Today we learned about translations. Moving a shape in different directions such as up, down, left and right. It is important to count out each square when moving the shape. We practiced this many time together on the carpet and once they felt confident with the concept they were given a worksheet to start practicing on their own.

Thursday April 26th, 2018

Here is what we did today:

Kidsports: We had such a blast playing on the giant play structure!
































When we returned to school we had lunch and a little quiet time. We read some leveled readers and cooled down from such a busy morning.

Math: We learned about grids and coordinates! We love looking that maps and figuring out the location of places. Remember to always say the letter first and then the number!

Recess/ Lunch

Math: We played Battleship to practice finding coordinates on a grid!
