Inquiry into Language: We worked on Lesson 4 in our spelling workbooks and 2 pages in our cursive workbooks. We also did some silent reading today!

UOI: Today was Orange Shirt Day! We read 3 books as a class and had some wonderful discussions about how important it is to love each other and respect each other. Here are the links for 2 of the books we read:

Spelling Lesson 4: 

Friday September 27th, 2019

Here is what we did today:

Inquiry into Language: We completed our lesson 3 spelling test. Once completed, we used this period to catch up on novel study and UOI worksheets.

Inquiry into Math: We took up our math review packages. For extra practice I sent home the textbook, any questions from Unit 2 would be good to use to practice.

Electronics/Classroom Party: We had a blast playing together!

Fall Fundraiser: PIES PIES PIES and wait more PIESSSSSS!!! Ms. DiMascio, Ms. Hocevar, Mme. Rawan, Mr. Orr and Mr. Foster were all pied!!! Great job fundraising SJA!!

Inquiry into Language: We continued to read chapter 6 of our novel study! We loved hearing Pa's story with the bear in the Big Woods. We started to work on our comprehension worksheets.

Fall Fundraiser Assembly: Loved our Wacky Thursday outfits!

UOI: Today we focused on settling in Upper Canada and what it took to live in that time period and how they make their homes. We watched 2 videos and started to work on our worksheets.

Inquiry into Math: We reviewed concepts from our unit.

Wednesday September 25th, 2019

Here is what we did today:

Inquiry into Math: We worked on word problems involving multi-steps for addition and subtraction. It is really important to read the questions carefully especially with questions requiring more than one step or part. Once completed, they worked on a math task and then started their math reviews.

Inquiry into Language: We continued to read our novel study, Little House in the Big Woods. We loved the part where Ma slapped the bear!!!
