Here is what we did today:

Our Open-Minded Winners:

Inquiry into Language: We started our day with our Lesson 22 spelling test. After, we continued to read our novel study, "Heidi" by Johanna Spyri. We read as a class chapters 15 and 16. The students answered the comprehension questions as a follow up activity.

Recess/Lunch

Inquiry into Math: We learned about TREE DIAGRAMS. Tree Diagrams display all the possible outcomes of an event. Each branch in a tree diagram represents a possible outcome. Tree diagrams can be used to find the number of possible outcomes and calculate the probability of possible outcomes. This was quite tricky so we did many examples together.

UOI: We started our summative! It is a debate about whether St. Jude's Corporation should develop a fertile area of land into an urban community. We watched video on how to debate and broke off into our teams. I explained to them each step of the process and we worked on our reason today.
