Inquiry into Language: We started our new novel study. We are reading the famous novel, "The
Secret Garden." The students are so excited to begin a new story
adventure! They made so many connections to our last novel study book as
well. We read the first 6 pages and for homework they have only the front of the first page to complete.

Inquiry into Math: Today we learned about nets of 3-D Shapes! A net is a pattern that you can cut and fold to make a model of a solid shape. We had so much fun practicing this today on the board and when we built nets and 3-D shapes with toothpicks and clay!
UOI: Today we learned about plant adaptations. Adaptations are special features that allow a plant or animal to live in a particular place or habitat. Plants have adaptations to help them survive (live and grow) in different areas. We read a fantastic book all about the different adaptations.
