Inquiry into Language: We learned how to use quotation marks in dialogue! We practiced identifying the dialogue (speaking parts) and the dialogue/speaker tags. They had time to work on the worksheets after they completed their OWA post assessment on narratives.
UOI: Some started building and others were hard at work on their graphic organizers!

Wednesday February 26th, 2020
Here is what we did today:
PINK SHIRT DAY ASSEMBLY: We listened to a video, drama skit and speech about bullying!
Inquiry into Math: To kick off our new unit on probability, we coloured in spinners that we will be using for experiments later! We came up with the expectations together.
Library: We spent some time with Ms. Hayward and listened to a read aloud.
Recess/Lunch
UOI: We continued to work on our summative!
Inquiry into Language: We learned how to peer edit today! There are three steps: Compliments, Suggestions and Corrections. We reviewed the symbols for corrections (just like the ones in our spelling books) and reviewed the important parts of a narrative. Each student was given a checklist and switched stories with a partner. They had a lot of fun being a "teacher."

Reading Buddies: We read with our friends in Mr. Foster's class!
