Morning Meeting/Agendas

Language: We completed our daily language drill. We began our summatives for this unit. The students looked at a picture book and determined the introduction and build up. They had to begin the planning process with their story mountains. The students were instructed to change the problem, resolution and ending of that picture book. We will continue this tomorrow.
Recess/Lunch
Math: Today we worked on telling time with words. The students corrected their homework yesterday with a partner and then as a class. We reviewed what we learned yesterday and expanded on that information. To help them remember colour coated the clock.
** Also, a helpful tip is that if the minute hand is on the "after/past" side then the hour does not change. If the minute hand is on the "to" side then the hour goes back one.
For example: 25 to 2 is the same as 1:35
20 past 3 is the same as 3:20
Recess/Lunch
UOI: We learned about fables today! We discussed as a class what is a fable and then spoke about morals/life lessons. The students were divided into 4 groups and acted out some fables.
