Here is what we did today:

Inquiry into Art:Today we talked about the city skylines. We talked about how it looks balanced and the line of symmetry in the photo. We spoke about the importance of line and making the buildings proportional to each other. We began creating our own city skyline and we will be using water on the markers to create a reflection.

UOI: We continued our lesson from yesterday and looked at balanced vs unbalanced forces. This was brought up because they wondered how a boat being so heavy can float on water. We learned that it is a balanced between the forces of gravity and buoyancy. We looked at two pictures and had to find all the differences between them.

Inquiry into Language: We completed our lesson 20 spelling test.

Recess/Lunch

Inquiry into Math: We focused on comparing and ordering fractions. We worked together as a class to put the fractions in order from least to greatest and verse versa. We practiced converting improper fractions to mixed fractions so we could accurately place the fractions in order. 

Some important tips to remember:
- If the denominator is the same, look at the numerator to put the fractions in order.
- There can never be improper fractions! Convert these to mixed fractions and then place them in order.
