Agendas/Morning Meeting

Language: We started working on Lesson 10 in our Spelling Workbooks. We continued reading our novel "The Little House in the Big Woods" by Laura Ingalls Wilder. We read chapter 10 now! We discussed what were the main events that happened in this chapter. Students were told for homework that they would have to read chapter 11 which is called "Harvest." They can either read the book from the website linked below or listen to the story being read from the other link below. This must be complete for tomorrow.

Math:. Today we multiplying by 7s! We working together to figure out the multiples of number. We did mad minutes to practice the previous multiples we have learned. We played "Circle up" to practice our multiples of 7 and did a worksheet in class. Whoever did not complete the word problems in class had it sent home for homework.

Recess/Lunch
UOI: Today we learned about travel and the Oregon Trail! We discussed the importance of packing your wagon properly with all the important items that they needed back then to survive a 5 month long travel. The students participated in an activity where they had to decide which items and how much of those items they were going to pack in their wagons for their journeys! They had a weight limit so they had to be careful. Other "pioneers" in the class had to try to convince you to pack other items to help you with your travel. They enjoyed the activity a lot!
We had a discussion today about lockdowns and the protocol. We will be having a drill tomorrow and I wanted to let them know what to do and how this is just practice. It was important to let them know that this is just to make sure we are always aware of what to do and no matter what they will be safe. If they have any questions please let me know!
