Language: We continued reading our novel "The Little House in the Big Woods" by Laura Ingalls Wilder. We read chapter 12 now! We discussed what were the main events that happened in this chapter and spoke about the differences between machines then and now. As an activity each student had to write a reflection paragraph about how machines then and now are different with examples from the story.
Recess/Lunch
Math:. Today we multiplying by 9s! We working together to figure out the multiples of number. Next we learned two tricks for our 9s! The first is using our hands.

The second method is writing the numbers from 0-9 first and the right next to it write the numbers 9-0. Then we examined the pattern and saw how to use this method when we are doing mental math!
We did some practice on some worksheets and then did mad minutes for our 2's and 5's to improve our scores from last time. We ended the lesson with a worksheet, the students had to check their answers with a partner in the class.

Recess/Lunch
UOI: Today we wrote pioneer acrostic poems! We did a rough draft then a good copy. Some people didn't finish their good copy so we will continue it tomorrow. They need 2 + pictures.
