Language: We did our 5 minute language drill today! We will be doing this every Monday thru Thursday to practice grammar and punctuation skills. We also had time to create a descriptive paragraph about the scariest thing to happen to them. The students really enjoyed working on this! If it was not completed it was for homework.
Recess/Lunch
Science Fair: We continued to work on our science fair project. We were deciding on our main question and which steps to include on our procedure.
Math:. Today we did 2 digit by 1 digit multiplication by breaking apart the numbers. This concept took a few examples until we all gave the thumbs up!

IMPORTANT REMINDER: Please make sure you are lining up your numbers properly otherwise you will be adding or multiplying the wrong numbers together.
For some students who had difficulty with this process they could break down the question another way.

____ Separate the two digit number into the tens and ones.
Then multiply those numbers by the single digit number.
60 x 2 = 120
4 x 2 = 8
Add them together! 120 + 8 = 128
