Monday November 6th, 2017

We started our day with an assembly where a few students got to present it to the entire school!

Great job to everyone in my class that presented the Guy Fawke's Poem.

Students were given time to begin Lesson 9 in their spelling workbooks. French was cancelled for today.

Agendas/Morning Meeting

Gym: Please see Mr. Beresford's blog for more information.

Language: We continued reading our novel "The Little House in the Big Woods" by Laura Ingalls Wilder. We read chapter 7 now! We did an instructional writing activity; the students were given a passage from the novel and they had to write the steps to making a trough.

Recess/Lunch

We had our September Party (super delayed with all the things going on in October). We watched an episode of The Magic School Bus!

Math:. Today we multiplying by 2 and 5s!We played a game to practice skip counting called Circle up! Each person said one number while counting up in twos and fives. If you are the one to say the number 50 then you are out. We did this several times and we had so much fun! Next we did some work in the textbook. Everyone had a great understanding of the work!

I would suggest that you practice your multiplications at home. The best way to do this is flashcards. They can be printed off this website: http://www.timvandevall.com/math/free-printable-multiplication-flash-cards-for-kids/

Recess/Lunch.
