Here is what we did today:

UOI: We discussed the different advertising techniques used in digital and print advertisement. We completed an Advertisement Technique Matching Sheet and took it up as a class. We gave examples of each technique and watched video examples of each technique.

 

Recess/Lunch

 

Inquiry into Math: We started the warm up activity by estimating the area of our classroom and then actually using metre sticks to measure the length and width of of classroom. We had to use objects or our bodies to help try to estimate the length and width of the classroom. We also reviewed the formulas for area and perimeter.

 

Today we learned about estimating area of irregular shapes. We used symbols to help us count the squares inside. We really enjoyed this lesson!

 

Inquiry into Language: We read some of our OREO paragraphs to the class, fantastic job Grade 3s! We completed another OREO together as a class!
