Recess/Lunch
Inquiry into Math: Today we learned about how to conduct a survey. We spoke about each step in the process together and did a few examples together from the textbook. We talked about how to formulate a question based on the topic (who, what and how as question starters). We also learned about how to formulate options to choose from for our participants. It's important to remember that 'OTHER' should always be the last option. The students were given a task to create their own survey question, options and tally charts. We surveyed 10 girls and 10 boys from various classes to complete our surveys.
Recess/Lunch
UOI: Ms. Hayward taught them how to use the chromebooks to search up different cities/towns. They were looking for information about the cities/towns transportation, homes and a variety of other topics. They will have this research project to complete over the weekend!
