Here is what we did today:

Inquiry into Language: We worked on our spelling workbook lesson 13 and cursive pages 36-37. As a class we brainstormed together, what makes a good reader? We came up with some greater examples. We then completed our DRA reading engagement surveys.

Student-Led Conference Package: This year our student-led conferences will be held in the upper school cafeteria instead of the class rooms. Today we started to prepare by working on their packages. We will be working on this for the next couple days.

Recess/Lunch

UOI: Our focus today was completing our unit reflections for our IB binders.

Inquiry into Math: Today we learned about reading a table! We looked at what information we could gather from a table and what questions could we formulate. We looked at two tables as a class in our textbooks. We went over how the questions have key words that help us know what to search for in the table. It is important to remember when searching for information that we don't have to read the whole table row by row in order to find the answer; we have to look for the column that is related to the question and look for the answer there. For example: What is the first published book? We looked at the column that had all the publication dates listed.
