Inquiry into Language: Today we continued to explore context clues! We love looking through the passage to help us find the clues to solve what the underlined word means. Once we completed that activity, we had time to start our spelling workbooks and spelling sentences.

Inquiry into Math: Today we started our unit on Data Management! We began the unit with an activity on reading tables to understand the data being presented. They worked in partners to understand the table, point out important information and formulate questions. They had time to work in class on their homework. We went over how the questions have key words that help us know what to search for in the table. It is important to remember when searching for information that we don't have to read the whole table row by row in order to find the answer; we have to look for the column that is related to the question and look for the answer there. For example: What is the first published book? We looked at the column that had all the publication dates listed.
UOI: We continued to work on our summatives. Our showcase is this Friday so we are preparing our objects for your visit!
