Inquiry into Language: We worked on our review spelling lesson #12 and pages 34 & 35 in our cursive books.
UOI: Our lesson began we the creation of our Positive Self-Talk little versions of us! It was an outline of a person that they had to fill in with positive affirmations and decorate to be a representation of them. Once this was complete, we talked about what makes a healthy or unhealthy relationship. We discussed that healthy relationships are made of communication, respect, support, compromise and space. Unhealthy relationships hurt us physically, emotionally, lack communication, respect and compromise. We looked at scenarios together and decided why or why not they are healthy or unhealthy.
Recess/Lunch
UOI: Our main goal today was to write a letter to our future self! I told the students to write a letter to themselves 20 years from now. It should reflect their dreams, aspirations and what they hope for their future life. They were reminded to be reflective about the things they learned about during this UOI.
