Here is what we did today:

Inquiry into Language: Today we worked on Lesson 17 and pg 44-45 in our cursive workbooks. Students were also given time to work on their Oral Competition package.

Recess/Lunch

Inquiry into Math: Our focus today was on telling time! We learned today that if the hour hand is in between both numbers like (1pm-2pm) then it will always be the hour before (1pm). We practiced on clocks telling times. We also practiced using 2 colours to differentiate between the hours and minute hand.

We played some time activities to reinforce our learning.

Recess/Lunch 

UOI: Today we participated in a read aloud about Forestry Communities. We shared our connections and wonders.

Reading Buddies: We had the chance to help our friends with math in Mr. Foster's class.

Mr. Foster’s Farmers Market and Ms. Gandy’s Groceries

As part of their summative assessment the grade one classes have decided to open a market to complement their organization unit. The market will include fruits, vegetables, drinks and other healthy snacks. It will be held in rooms 12 and 18. The market will take place all day Thursday, January 23^rd and Friday, January 24^th. All profits made will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House.
