Tuesday January 21st, 2020

Here is what we did today:

Inquiry into Language: Today we worked on our speeches. Tomorrow I will be providing feedback to each student on their speech.

UOI: They continued to work on their graphic organizers and each checked in with me to see that they were on the right track before moving forward and working on their counter-argument.

Recess/Lunch

Inquiry into Math: Our focus today was making change again! We reviewed yesterday's lesson and practiced lining up our decimal points when doing standard algorithm for making change. It is important to include the dollar symbol as well when answering questions about money. Also, when lining up the numbers if there is an empty spot then we use a zero as a placeholder.

French: Please see Mme. Rawan's blog for more detail.

Recess/Lunch

UOI: We started our paragraphs for our debate and will continue tomorrow.

Reading buddies: We worked with Mr. Foster's class on their speeches.
