Tuesday January 14th, 2020

Here is what we did today:

Inquiry into Math: Today our focus was on estimating the time of activities! We decided on the appropriate length of time certain activities take, such as eating lunch or saying the alphabet. Then we looked at rounding times to estimate the lengths of activities. We did many examples together on the board.

Inquiry into Language: We started our new novel study "Heidi!" We read chapters 1 and 2, we were extremely excited to start this new novel and some wanted to take the book home to read the chapter again.

Recess/Lunch

UOI: We continued our discovery of mining, farming and fishing communities. We read a book and explored the pictures in each one. We made so many connections to each community. We discussed the changes within those communities over time. Tomorrow we will be discussing human impact on these communities.

French: Please see Mme. Rawan's blog for more detail.

Recess/Lunch

Gym: Please check Ms. Vasconcelos' blog for more detail.
