First Day of Grade 3!

What a fun filled day! It was so great to finally meet everyone today! We started our day with creating our class’ essential agreement. Everyone came up with such incredible ideas that related to our IB attitudes. After creating our classroom essential agreement, we played a person scavenger hunt! Every student had to go around the room and ask another student if they could fill in a box on their sheet that relates to them! We learned about each other’s favourite colours, subjects, food and much more. Our first gym class took a little while to get started because we need to change out of our uniforms. It’s a difficult task but with a lot of practice I know we will get a lot better at it.

After recess and lunch, we played a board game called “All About ME.” During this time period, I was able to take pictures of them on their first day!

 

We began exploring our UOI, Marvelous Media. The other Grade 3 joined our class as we each began creating a collage with pictures from magazines that represent them. Shortly after we had a short assembly for earning House Points!! It was a great experience, playing musical chairs and chanting for our houses. 

 

Just a reminder to all parents, if your child would like to use the microwave to reheat their food please provide a plate from home for them to use. Overall, we had such a fun and exciting first day of Grade 3! Cannot wait until tomorrow!
