Math:. Today we learned about three separate types of patterns. We did so many examples on the board. The students took turns solving the equations on the board and working together to solve the difficult word problems.

Three types of patterns:

1.     Repeating: Repeats over and over again

2.     Growing: Gets bigger each time

3.     Shrinking: Gets smaller each time

The students always start a pattern rule with “Start at”. The next step is whether you are adding or subtracting.

UOI/Language: Today we did an Ontario Writing Assessment on Persuasive Writing. 

Recess/Lunch

Daily Five: We did some independent reading and reading with a partner.

UOI: Today we began learning about the use of Ethos, Pathos and Logos in advertisements. Miss. Ross helped us brainstorm advertisements that are examples are each type of persuading techniques.
