UOI/Language: Students completed their spelling test. They also learned today about quotations! We did a few examples on the board of proper quotation placement.

Math:. Today we learned about addition with 3 digit numbers! The students learned two methods:

Addition with Expanded Form-        327     --> 300 + 20 + 7

                                                       +257    --> 200 + 20 + 7

                                                        554          500 + 40 + 14 = 554

Addition using Place Value (Regrouping)-

                                                327    Add the ones first, carry over the number if you have to.
