Agendas/Morning Meeting

Language: The students had time to working on their spelling workbooks; Lesson 6 is a review of the previous units. Today we did continued to expanded on our exercise about summarizing a story called 'somebody, wanted, but, so then'. Using the organizer we created our summary. We discussed why it is important to leave out the not as important stuff and only expanded by adding detail to the important events.

Math: Today we did a review of addition of 3 digit addition using expanded form and place value. We expanded our knowledge of both concepts and explored addition of 4 digit numbers. The students all seem to have a good understanding. We also learned about checking our work through estimation.

Just a reminder to all parents that summative work must be done in class and not at home! It is important to note that all work must be done during class time, if supplies are required from home the students are allowed to bring them in to class. Any work that has to be completed at home you will be informed at the beginning of the summative.
