Agendas/Morning Meeting

Language: Today we continued to learn about inferences. We did more examples of finding all the clues in a paragraph. We completed an inferencing worksheet and went through a powerpoint of pictures; we pretended to be detectives and make our inferences (draw conclusions) based on the evidence in the picture. The students completed their spelling test. The students were also given time to enjoy our reading corner; everyone was so engaged in reading it was great to see!

Recess/Lunch

Daily Five: Students were given this time to either read or practice for their presentations.

Math:. Today we reviewed estimation, checking our work and 4 digit subtraction. We did a few examples on the board and then discussed how to figure out what a word problem is asking us. We made a chart of what are addition words verses subtraction words. The students were given some 3 digit subtract and addition word problems that they had to find out which method to use by looking for the clue words. If they completed that worksheet, they were given a worksheet with 4 digit subtraction and addition problems.

Recess/Lunch.

UOI: We began filming presentations!! Unfortunately, my phone did not want to cooperate with me and decided to give us quite a problem. We will continue to film everyone’s presentation on Monday. I apologize profusely for the inconvenience my technology has caused. The videos of each presentation will be posted once everyone has completed presenting.
