Math: We completed our Math Unit 1 Test.

Recess/Lunch

Inquiry into Language: The students had time to begin and complete their spelling lesson 7 workbook and spelling sentences. Once they completed their spelling, the students were able to finish working on their letters in their language notebooks. They had to peer edit their letters as well. If it was not completed in class it was set for homework.

UOI: Today we explored changing direction, speed and shape of an object. We spent some time manipulating the objects to see what we can change the shape, speed or direction of them.

 On the carpet, we brainstormed our ideas that we came up with from manipulating the materials. We took a closer look at the toy car and how the speed changes. We discussed how pull it back before releasing the car build momentum. Together we completed a worked that pulled together all of our ideas on how we change the shape of the clay.

 We drew on another worksheet how the clay changes shape, how the car changes speed and how the car changes direction.
