Here is what we did today:

Inquiry into Language: We brainstormed and discussed how to write good feedback and what it looks like. We made a brainstorm chart together. We said that its not good feedback if you say "Your presentation was awesome" you need to add the why it is awesome! After this activity, we focused on editing work. We learned some symbols of editing and how to use them.

We practiced together and then completed some paragraphs on our own.

Recess/Lunch
 
Math: Today we reviewed some concepts at start off our lesson. We reviewed how to make a statement an equation. We received how to solve addition and subtraction equations as well. We were practicing labeling the equation to help us remember how to solve it (For example: labeling the difference, 1st term and 2nd term in a subtraction question).

After our review, we moved on to equations with shapes! We loved trying to solve "the mysteries." We worked on different strategies on how to solve them. We did a lot of trial and error to see how we could fix our mistakes.

  UOI: We started our new unit about "FORCES!" We were very excited to start a science unit! We did a marker walk about what we think each of the forces we'll be exploring means. The students loved brainstorming different meanings with each other.
